1. How are you able to partner my channel? I thought only YouTube
can partner channels.
a. We are an official multi-channel network partnered directly with
YouTube.
b. We have the authority to grant partnership status to YouTube
channels linked to our network.
c. YouTube does make the final decision on whether to allow each
channel into our network and will email the official partnership
invitations once the application process is completed.
2. If I have more than one channel can I partner these as well?
a. Yes, however a separate application will need to be filled out at
AdRev for each channel.
3. How much money is generated from video views?
a. The payout range can vary greatly. Generally gross revenue will be
between $1-$5 per 1,000 views.
b. This figure depends largely upon the types of ad formats you have
enabled and the percentage of your views that are monetizable
c. Uploading your own original content to maximize monetizable
views, enabling all ad formats, and optimizing for audience
retention will ensure the highest possible revenue per view.
4. How do premium ads work and how much money do I get from
them?
a. We have a YouTube CMS Admin account that allows us to run
premium ads that advertisers are willing to pay much more for.
b. Our account allows us to monetize videos instantly. AdSense can
take up to 5 days per video monetization approval. This means with
AdRev, you will never miss a monetizeable view.
c. We are able to target advertisements across similar channels with a
more relevant audience. This enhances ad performance and the
amount advertisers are willing to pay.
d. The additional revenue these premium ads generate can more than
cover our share of the ad revenue, meaning overall earnings for
you are better.
5. When will I be paid?
a. You will receive payment within 45 days of the close of each month once your balance exceeds $5.00.
6. In addition to help with monetization, will I receive help with growing my channel?
a. Yes once you are accepted into our network you will receive a welcome package that includes a guide to using your new tools and resources.
b. For the first few months the focus will be on optimizing your channel and the engagement of your audience. During this time you should be learning to master the playbook that we’ll send you which will teach you how to use your channel tools.
c. Applying all of the resources from the playbook will enhance the quality of your content and increase views and subscribership
d. Once you have fully employed the resources in the playbook your channel will be ready for marketing and cross promotion alongside other top channels
7. How many views will I be able to generate?
a. The number of views you generate will fluctuate widely depending on the quality of your content, the number of videos on your channel, and your mastery of the playbook.
b. We have seen non-optimized channels with high quality content and 100+ videos implement best channel optimization practices and see their daily views suddenly increase by 10 to 100 times previous levels.
8. Why do I have to master the playbook before I am able to participate in mass marketing and cross promotional campaigns?
a. There is no point to pushing traffic to non-optimized channels with low audience retention rates. You can think of it like a car and the marketing is the accelerator pedal and the degree of optimization is like the tires. Marketing a non-optimized channel is like stepping on the gas without any traction – the tires spin but the car doesn’t go anywhere.
b. As you optimize your channel each viewer becomes more valuable and the viral coefficient increases. In other words they are more likely to subscribe and share your video with other potential viewers.
c. Optimized channels will also earn more money per view since advertisements will perform better. As your level of audience engagement increases advertisers will be willing to pay more money per view.
d. It is in your best interest to make a great first impression on your viewers so that they will keep coming back. All channel partners in
our network will appreciate this since it also boosts the overall value of our network.
9. What type of support will I receive?
a. Initially the support you will receive will mainly include access to tools and resources along with material for you to read for guidance.
b. Since there is such a wide range in terms of the types of content on our network, the best way for you to learn is to do it yourself and collaborate with other similar channels.
c. After you learn to optimize your channel we will take a more hands-on approach to take your channel to the next level.
d. Our network is only for passionate and savvy creators with high potential for growth. The resources and tools we have created have been successfully implemented by numerous channels.
e. Those who are unable to master these tools either did not try hard enough to learn them and/or are just not qualified to be a featured channel in our network.
10. How should I use AdRev Talent Network’s dedicated partner support team?
a. Please make sure to thoroughly read through our FAQ and published materials before attempting to contact our support team.
b. Please do not contact support about issues that are addressed in our documentation. Those who abuse this policy could have their partnership terminated. Read all documentation thoroughly and carefully.

11. What is the sign up process and how long does it take to get partnered?
a. It generally takes anywhere from a day to a week to have your channel linked to our network and officially partnered.
b. We will provide you with detailed instructions to help you along the sign up process. If you cannot follow instructions properly and read documentation carefully you will not be partnered.
c. The first step is to apply at Users | Adrev
d. First your channel will undergo an automated review before you are allowed to proceed. If you do not pass this automated review then we encourage you to apply again at a later time after you have achieved higher view and subscriber counts.
e. Next your channel will undergo a manual review for 3rd party content. We may ask you to clean up your channel and will provide you with instructions if this step is necessary.
f. The last step is to confirm an email invitation to join our network and then you will be officially partnered.
12. What if I am having issues receiving the invitation email from YouTube?
a. The invitation email can only be sent directly from YouTube and can only be delivered to the email address associated with your account. If you are having issues receiving this email please check your email settings in your YouTube account to ensure you are checking the proper email inbox. If you are still unable to locate this email be sure to also check both your spam folder and junkmail inbox.
b. Any delivery issues you are experiencing with the invitation email can only be resolved by YouTube support. You may only contact our support team once to request that the invite be resent, but otherwise you must contact YouTube support for assistance.
c. Sometimes we encounter an error due to a lock YouTube has placed on your account that prevents us from linking your channel to our network. If this is the case we will provide you with detailed instructions and a pre-written email template to use to contact YouTube to resolve the issue.
d. This is a standard procedure that happens all the time and it is usually caused by an active or inactive AdSense account. We won’t ask you to do this step unless it is necessary, so please send the email according to the instructions without questioning.
13. What type of content can I have in my videos? Can I upload cover songs and gameplay content from video games?
a. Generally if you didn't film it or record it yourself, and you don't have written permission or a license from the person that did, then you cannot use it in any part of your uploads, visual or audio, and it is not allowed in our network.
b. This policy applies regardless of whether the content actually has a 3rd Party Claim or Acknowledgement of 3rd Party Content - which just means that the content has not yet been claimed or discovered by the content owner.
c. Most video game videos are acceptable as long as the audio meets the above criteria.
d. Cover songs may only be used in your videos if they are uploaded under our procedure for cover artists. Please contact your talent manager before uploading cover songs. Do not attempt to monetize a cover song without first contacting your talent manager.
e. This policy is strictly enforced by both our team and YouTube. Anyone found to be in violation could have their partnership terminated immediately. If you are unsure about a questionable video, do not upload it.
14. If I give credit to the author of 3rd party content and disclaim my ownership, can I still upload it even if it is just for promotional purposes?
a. No - not unless you can undoubtedly prove that you own the content or that you obtained the legal rights from the content owner to upload the video.
15. Can I have background music in my videos that is claimed to be “copyright free” on another YouTube channel with a free download link?
a. There is actually no such thing as “copyright free” for any type recorded content or intellectual property.
b. An artist may decide to release works under a creative commons license which can issue use of the copyright to the public. In other cases works may be distributed along with a royalty free license for particular uses which may or may not include the right for use in YouTube videos.
c. You can only use music that was either obtained under a proper royalty free license, a valid creative commons license, or with written permission for use in your video from the copyright owner.
d. Music provided royalty free within software packages such as Garage Band, iMovie, Adobe Premier, Final Cut, and other similar software is also ok.
e. Stock Music and Sound Effects | AudioMicro is a trusted source for royalty free music and sound effects all of our partners have free unlimited access to this library.
f. We also approved songs for use via AudioSwap from certain artists. You can find the list of approved artists in your orientation packet.
g. Anyone who doesn’t understand our content policy cannot be trusted to play by the rules and will not be partnered
16. Will I get paid on video views that occurred prior to my signing with the AdRev Talent Network?
a. No - since the revenue is generated from the advertisers that run ads on your videos, we cannot collect “back royalties” on past views.
17. How do I get paid?
a. We pay via Paypal. Be sure to get your Paypal set up if you do not have one already.
b. If you did not have Paypal setup when you first joined the network, be sure to update your account information with your PayPal info once you have set up a Paypal account
18. Why should I unlink my Adsense account/sign with you? I am
already making money from my videos.
a. Adsense can take several days to approve your videos for monetization – when you are an ATN partner, your videos will be instantly approved for monetization.
b. Your videos will have premium ads run on them by being a full partner, and by being a partner in a larger network advertisers will be more apt to advertise on your videos.
c. You will have free access to the best royalty free music and sound effects library on the web.
d. You will have the ability monetize cover songs/videos (if you created them).
19. If I live outside of the U.S. can I still be a partner?
a. Yes of course! We have partners all around the world!
20. Can I still join even though I am under the age of 18?
a. Yes and you will just need a legal parent or guardian to sign you up
21. How can I view data and analytics about my videos?
a. Once logged in, click the analytics button on the top right corner of your channel page.
b. Alternatively you can go to http://www.youtube.com/analytics.
c. Analytics data is generally delayed 2-3 days. So for data on Monday views, you will see that in your account by Wednesday or Thursday.
22. If I have third party claims on my videos, can they still be monetized?
a. No.
23. Should I dispute the claims on my videos?
a. Unless you have the expressed written permission to use ALL content in your video including video, music and any other intellectual property - directly from the copyright owners themselves, you should not dispute the claim.
b. Submitting disputes where you do not have the necessary rights could put a copyright strike on your channel resulting in immediate termination of your ATN partnership.
24. Will I still own my content?
a. Yes you will retain complete ownership of your content and channel.
25. Will I receive content ID claims on the music and sound effects I
Download from AudioMicro?
a. No, they are provided royalty free for commercial use.
b. If you have any issues with music or sound effects generating content ID matches, just contact your talent manager with a link to the video or videos at issue.
26. I have a video that was previously blocked or claimed by another party, as a partner am I now able to upload and monetize this video?
a. The only way you can monetize a video that was previously blocked is to remove the copyrighted content and re-upload it.
b. Most copyright issues relate to the audio contained in the video.
c. You will have 72 hours after becoming officially partnered to replace copyrighted audio on previously uploaded videos with audio from an acceptable source or your partnership will be terminated
d. If you replace the copyrighted audio in the blocked video with audio from AudioMicro, you will be able to re-upload the video and monetize it.
e. Another option is to go into the video manager and use the video editor or audio editor and select a track from the library to replace the current audio. Just make sure to use audio from an artist on the approved artist list in the orientation packet that we will send you after you are officially partnered.
27. I’m trying to upload a banner image but it does not show up on my channel, however the hyperlinks still work
a. Banner images should be merged with the background image and uploaded with the background as a single image
b. The banner upload option is for mapping hyperlinks only. You can refer to our orientation packet for instructions on how to create your custom banner after your channel is linked to our network
28. Will you create a banner for my channel?
a. We provide instructions in our orientation packet that teach you how to create your own banner however we will not design a banner for you.
