Hello,
My name is Alex Pipes -- I work for a daily science and tech show called Daily Planet on Discovery Channel. I am currently working on a daily column called Trending where we feature the coolest, most jaw-dropping science and tech videos of the day. I stumbled upon your video "Driver escapes from fiery crash". We would love to feature the video on our show, and I have included our standard language/agreement that we send to developers:
"I would like to confirm with you our intention to include portions of the materials from the video "Driver escapes from fiery crash" in a segment of our program.
I would further like to confirm that these materials will be used in all current and future versions this segment of Daily Planet, in all media (e.g. via specialty television, wireless, internet, mobile, and broadband), throughout the world, and in perpetuity. It is also understood that you will have no rights or claims to the program.
I would like to assure you that EPI shall make no other use of any of the above mentioned material outside of the segment without your prior written authorization.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could reply to this e-mail and provide an acknowledgement of your agreement to our use of the above mentioned material."
The agreement outlines the release of permissions for the video, a fee is not specified. Unfortunately we have no budget for this but we would be willing to mention you in courtesy of/special thanks in the credits. We are an international show, and the only nightly science and technology program around the world.
We are on an extremely tight deadline so I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible!
